Move to Shopify without losing what works

Developpy moves online stores to Shopify from any platform, including WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom builds. We migrate products, customers and order history, redirect every URL and rebuild tracking, so rankings and data survive the switch.

From WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or a custom platform to Shopify

SEO and tracking

You keep your rankings and your data. Every URL is redirected, metadata carries over, analytics and pixels are rebuilt, and we fix what was weak on the old store on the way.

Products, variants and media

Products move with their variants, SKUs, prices, images and descriptions, and custom fields become metafields.

Customers, orders, discounts and gift cards

Customer records, addresses and past orders move so returning customers keep their history. Active discount codes and gift card balances follow where the source platform exports them.

Redirects and SEO

Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new page, titles, meta descriptions and alt text carry over, the new sitemap goes to Search Console at launch, and where the old store had SEO gaps we close them.

Analytics and tracking

Google Analytics, Meta and the other pixels, consent and conversion tracking rebuilt on Shopify and verified with test orders, so no data is lost at the switch.

Redesign

The new store is designed and built to measure, like every store we build: mobile first, fast, and optimized for SEO and AI search.

Apps and integrations

We map each app and integration to its Shopify equivalent, or rebuild it, and reconnect it before launch.

Launch and post-launch checks

We test checkout, payments, emails and redirects before go-live, then watch orders, 404s and Search Console after launch.

How a migration runs

Typical duration
Set in the written scope
  1. Audit of the store and data

We review the current store, its data, apps, URLs and tracking, and agree on what moves.

  2. Data mapping and test import

We map every field to Shopify and run a test import you can check before anything goes live.

  3. Theme, apps and redirects

We design and build the theme, set up the apps and integrations, and map redirects URL by URL.

  4. Launch with a frozen catalog

Catalog edits pause for a short window while the final import runs and the domain switches over.

  5. Post-launch monitoring

We watch orders, redirects, tracking and Search Console after go-live and fix what comes up.

How we quote

Every project is quoted after a 15-minute call, on a written scope: what we move, what we build and what we check before launch. No hourly surprises.

Questions about migrating to Shopify

Which platforms do you migrate from?

Any platform that can export its data, including WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom builds. Our published migrations include WooCommerce (Swimprove, Mr Crocca) and PrestaShop (Restylit, Sensimilla). For a custom platform we work from its database export or API and map the data to Shopify's model.

Will we lose our SEO?

Not if the migration is planned for it. We map redirects URL by URL from the old store to the new one, carry over page titles and meta descriptions, and submit the new sitemap in Google Search Console at launch. Rankings can fluctuate for a while as Google recrawls the store, so we watch Search Console after go-live and fix any broken or missing pages as they show up. Where the old store had SEO gaps, the new one closes them.

Do customer passwords carry over?

No. Shopify does not import password hashes from other platforms, so passwords cannot move to Shopify from any of them. Customer accounts, addresses and order history do move, and customers either activate their account from an email or set a new password the first time they sign in. We plan that message and its timing with you.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on the size of the catalog, how much order history moves and how many integrations need to be rebuilt. Custom data with no direct Shopify equivalent, ERP or back-office integrations and several languages or markets all add time. You get a launch date in the written scope before work starts.
