Connee: Smart home store with subscriptions

We built the Shopify store of Connee, an Italian managed smart home service, from the brand's Figma design, with a product model where a home is sold as a bundle of devices, an installation and a monthly subscription.

The brief

Connee does not sell devices one by one. It installs home automation, security and energy devices on loan, sized for the home, then manages them for a monthly fee, with a plan without commitment and a lower fee for a 30-month commitment. Resellers and distributors buy through the same store on different terms. The brief for a store like this: a site that looks exactly like the design, and a catalog that sells a service, not a list of products.

What we did

Store from the Figma design
The storefront built on Shopify from Connee's Figma files, from the home and the offer page to the product and cart templates.
Bundles plus subscription
Each offer set up as a bundle of devices and activation with a recurring subscription plan, so a customer buys the whole installation and the monthly service in one checkout.
Plans by customer type
Custom logic on the product page that reads the customer's account and shows the right purchase option: the matching subscription plan for subscribers, one-time purchase only for resellers.
Reseller and distributor offers
Dedicated bundles and variants for resellers and distributors, next to the consumer offer in the same catalog.

The result

Connee sold a managed service with installation, devices on loan and a monthly plan through a standard Shopify checkout, with consumers and resellers on the same store.
